First off, I gotta say, I’ve seen some seriously *out there* stuff. Like, remember that time they had the whole “China Chopsticks” ad campaign? Woof. Major facepalm moment. You’d think a huge brand like that would, like, *do their research* before potentially offending, oh, I dunno, a billion people? Seriously.
But then, sometimes they come out with something that’s actually kinda cute, ya know? Like, I saw this dress the other day – a floral print thing with, like, a little bit of lace – and I was like, “Okay, D&G, I see you.” It was actually pretty wearable. Not that *I* could afford it, mind you. These things are, like, priced for royalty or something.
And the whole “women’s” thing…well, what even *is* “women’s” fashion anymore, right? Everything is so fluid and gender-bending these days. I appreciate that they seem to be, like, trying to embrace that a little bit, but sometimes it just feels like they’re throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks. And the spagetti’s usually covered in, like, a million sequins and costs more than my rent.
Speaking of which, the *price*. Oh. My. Gawd. Who are these people buying this stuff? I mean, I get it, it’s “luxury,” but come on. It’s just clothes! You’re not gonna suddenly become a better person because you’re wearing a D&G dress. (Although, maybe you’ll feel like one, I guess?)
