All that buttery smooth leather…drool. But then you remember the price tag and you’re like, wait, lemme just stick with my trusty ol’ Sport Band. Which, by the way, is perfectly serviceable.
And here’s the thing that REALLY bugs me: the size limitations. You can only get it for the smaller watch faces (38/40mm). What’s up with that, Apple? Are big-wristed peeps not allowed to enjoy the supposed elegance of the Modern Buckle? It feels kinda discriminatory, tbh. It’s like they’re saying, “Oh, you have a larger Apple Watch? Clearly, you’re too uncouth for this refined band.” Sheesh.
I dunno, maybe I’m just being salty. Maybe the leather *is* actually unicorn-skin soft and the magnetic closure is held together by fairy dust and the tears of Steve Jobs himself. But I’m still struggling to justify the cost. Like, for that money, I could get a *decent* leather band *and* a nice dinner. Or, you know, several Sport Bands.
Then you got the Leather Loop…which is *also* expensive, but at least it’s available for the bigger watch sizes. And it’s got that whole magnetic closure thing going on too. Honestly, between the two, I think I’d lean towards the Leather Loop just for the size options.
Okay, so, the Modern Buckle. Pros: Looks pretty (in pictures, at least). Cons: Expensive AF. Limited size options. Probably not worth it unless you’re, like, swimming in cash and have a burning desire to accessorize your tiny Apple Watch.
